first signal.

Follow these exact steps every time you open TradingView. Do not skip any step — each one exists to protect you from a bad trade.

Set your timeframe to 1H or 15M
Click the timeframe selector at the top of TradingView and choose 1H (1 hour) or 15M (15 minutes). On a daily chart, signals are very rare — it takes a full day for one candle to form. On 1H you will see several signals per week on active markets.

Check the top-right dashboard first
Before anything else, look at the 4-row dashboard in the top-right corner of your chart. This tells you current market conditions. All 4 rows must be in your favor before taking any trade.

Look at the 4 colored dots in the bottom-right showing 5M, 15M, 1H, 4H trend direction. The more dots matching your trade direction, the stronger the signal.

Wait for the BUY or SELL arrow
Do not enter a trade manually. Wait for the indicator to show an arrow on the chart. The arrow appears on the exact candle where all conditions are met. The score/8 shown in the label tells you how strong the signal is.

Exit when the orange EXIT label appears
When price crosses back through the EMA 50 line in the wrong direction, the indicator shows an orange EXIT label. This means the trend has reversed. Close your trade at this candle's close price. All three lines will disappear automatically.
✗ NEVER hold a trade past the EXIT signal hoping price will come back. The indicator already waited for confirmation — trust it.

Why am I not seeing any BUY or SELL arrows?
The signal filter is working correctly. Signals only appear when: (1) price crosses EMA 50, (2) confluence score reaches your minimum threshold, AND (3) you are in an active trading session. Try switching to the 1H or 15M timeframe and watch during London or NY session hours.
What does CHARGING in the volatility box mean?
CHARGING means the Bollinger Bands have squeezed inside the Keltner Channel — a sign that market volatility has compressed and a big move is coming soon. It is not telling you which direction, just that energy is building. Watch for the next signal when the squeeze releases.
Should I take every BUY/SELL signal that appears?
No. Always check the dashboard conditions first. The best trades happen when: score is 6/8 or higher, at least 3 of 4 MTF dots match your direction, trend power shows MODERATE or STRONG, and session is London or New York. Skip signals when these conditions are not met.
Can I use this on crypto, forex, and stocks?
Yes. The indicator works on any market available on TradingView. It has been designed to work on BTC, ETH, EUR/USD, GBP/JPY, AAPL, SPX500, Gold, and Oil. The session filter is most relevant for forex and stocks — for 24/7 crypto markets you can disable it or turn on the Asian session as well.
What does the confluence score bar at the bottom left show?
The 8-segment bar shows the strength of the most recent signal. Gold filled bars = bullish score. Red filled bars = bearish score. More filled segments = stronger signal. A signal with 7 or 8 bars filled is rare and very high-confidence.
Is this indicator repaint?
No. Signals are generated on the close of the candle using confirmed data. The divergence labels appear 5 bars after a pivot to confirm it — which means they are accurate but appear slightly late. This is intentional to avoid false signals on unconfirmed pivots.
How do I set up alerts on TradingView?
Right-click anywhere on the chart → Add Alert → In the Condition section, select "Mahadeva V12 — Confluence Engine" → Choose from: Mahadeva BUY, Mahadeva SHORT, Mahadeva EXIT LONG, Mahadeva EXIT SHORT, Bull Divergence, or Bear Divergence → Set notification to App, Email, or Webhook → Click Create.
